Description:
O3 Office Project for a Cybersecurity Startup in Rome
O3 is the new headquarters of an Italian cybersecurity startup located in the historic heart of Rome. Specializing in IoT-related cyber protection, the company approached us with a clear vision: to create a radically different workspace an "extra-territorial" environment that contrasts sharply with the layered, historic context of central Rome.
Their product anticipates a future dominated by smart, network-connected electronic devices woven into every aspect of daily life. In response, we envisioned a workspace that would feel like a form of teleportation, an immersive, other-dimensional environment designed to spark innovation and inspire the development of future-facing technologies.
To achieve this, we embraced a radically minimalist approach, an intentional counterpoint to Rome’s rich textures and historical ornamentation. The building itself is a 400-year-old heritage structure, subject to strict preservation regulations. As a result, no structural changes were made. Instead, we focused on creating a fully customized spatial envelope.
From stainless steel door frames that act as portals into a virtual workspace, to bespoke lighting and furniture designed and fabricated in our own workshops, nearly every element of the project was tailored specifically for this space. These components were then shipped via both sea freight and express delivery, allowing us to achieve a seamless architectural and interior identity—from macro to micro scale.
